GNAC Women's Lacrosse Report: Week 2

(FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 4-10)

	PLAYER OF THE WEEK  Allison Pazienski, Johnson & Wales (RI) (Sr., M - New Hyde Park, N.Y.) In a tough 14-12 loss last Tuesday at Roger Williams, which advanced to the CCC Championship game last spring, the reigning GNAC Player of the Week scored five goals and had two assists in the road setback. She also picked up a ground ball and had a caused turnover.
	GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK Cat Cross, Simmons (So, G - Beverly, Mass.) In two wins, the sophomore allowed just three goals in 90 minutes of play and made seven saves to post a .700 save percentage to go with a 2.00 goals against mark. The goalie did not allow a goal in 30 minutes of action versus So. Vermont on Saturday and came back less than 24 hours later to yield just three goals and make seven saves in 60 minutes at Albertus Magnus on Sunday.
	ROOKIE OF THE WEEK Maegan Neelon, Simmons (Fr, A - Scarborough, Maine) The first-year tallied four points on three goals and an assist in two matches to go with three ground balls and a caused turnover. The attacker scored twice with both shots and assisted on another goal in addition to a caused turnover and three ground balls on March 8 vs. So. Vermont. The rookie came the very next day to net a goal at Albertus Magnus on Sunday.

WEEK 2 HONOR ROLL
Sierra Schuster, Colby-Sawyer (Sr, F - Hopkinton, N.H.) - Schuster led the Chargers to a 19-1 season-opening victory at USJ in what was also their GNAC opener. She scored a game-best six goals and collected a game-high five draw controls to help Colby-Sawyer to a victory in its first-ever GNAC contest. 

Jordan McComb, Lasell (Sr., M - Cumberland, R.I.) - The senior scored six goals for six points in a two-game week and collected eight ground balls, two draw controls and two caused turnovers as Lasell split a pair of non-conference games. She scored four goals two draw controls and two ground balls in a 13-8 win at Gordon and tallied two goals and six grounds balls in a loss at Wheaton. 

Molly Reinhold, Simmons (So, M - Mystic, Conn.) - In a 2-0 week, the sophomore tallied eight goals and three assists for 11 points, registering at least five points in both victories, to go with 10 draw controls, four ground balls, three caused turnovers and 61.5% (8-13) shooting percentage. The midfielder opened the season on Saturday with four goals on as many shots to go with two assists and six draw controls un a 19-0 win over So. Vermont before netting four goals with an assist and four draw controls the next day at Albertus Magnus in a 11-3 win.
