GLASSBORO, N.J. – Normally it's the Johnson & Wales University women's lacrosse team that is piling up the goals. On Saturday, the shoe was on the other foot as the Wildcats dropped a 23-10 decision to 15th-ranked Catholic in the NCAA Tournament.

Records:
Catholic: 14-6
Johnson & Wales: 17-3

Statistical Leaders:
Maria Patane: 3 Goals
Dani Lydecker: 3 Goals
Allison Pazienski: 2 Goals, 2 Assists

Of Note:
The Cardinals scored the first four goals of the game before Madeline Bishara got JWU on the board with a goal at the 22:19 mark.

Catholic scored three more times, but Allison Pazienski and Maria Patane found the back of the net to cut the margin to 7-3. The Cardinals went into the locker room with a 15-5 lead.

JWU finished the game by scoring five of the last six goals. Rookie Dani Lydecker found the back of the net twice during the run.

The Cardinals won 27 of 34 draw controls, which led to a 35-21 advantage in shots.

Johnson & Wales has a good chance of getting back to the NCAA Tournament next year as head coach Jessica Scannapieco only loses three seniors off this year's team.
