Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Report - Week 3

Player of the Week
Britney Wuorio (Bolton, Mass.), Senior, Attack, Lasell College
Wuorio helped Lasell to a 1-1 week, scoring eight goals and dishing out five assists for the week. She finished with four goals and two assists in a loss at Bridgewater State before tallying four goals and three assists in the Lasers 19-12 victory over Nichols College. Wuorio put 12 of her 14 shots on goal, while scoring on 57% of her shooting attempts and converting her only free position attempt on the week.

Goalie of the Week
Genevieve Giampietro (Meriden, Conn.), Junior, Goalie, Johnson & Wales University
Giampietro helped the JWU to a 2-1 record on the week, posting 13 saves in the hard-fought 8-6 setback against Colby-Sawyer and followed that up with five saves as the Wildcats picked up their first GNAC victory with a 10-7 win over Mount Ida.

Rookie of the Week
Lydia Knapp (Glens Falls, N.Y.), Freshman, Midfield, Johnson & Wales University
Knapp tallied 11 goals and added an assist for 12 points as the JWU posted a 2-1 record on the week. The rookie tallied six goals, including the game-winner in the Wildcats victory against Husson. Knapp followed that up with a hat trick, including the game winner to secure the 10-7 win over Mount Ida, which marked the Wildcats first GNAC win for the women's lacrosse program.
