Women’s Lacrosse Seeds Set, Emerson Earns Top Spot
The 2009 GNAC Women’s Lacrosse pairings are now available.
The Emerson College Lions earned the first with a perfect 6-0 GNAC
record and 10-2 record overall.
The Lions clinched first place in the conference with a win over
Norwich on Saturday. The two teams entered the game tied for first
place with 5-0 conference records, the Lions victory secured them
the first place slot, while the Cadets earned the second place in
the tournament. The Cadets enter the tournament with a 5-1 GNAC
record and 7-5 record overall.
Four teams make the playoffs, with the semifinals set for
Wednesday, April 22nd. #1 Emerson will host #4 St. Joseph’s
(Maine) (3-3; 6-7) at 6:00PM and #2 Norwich will host #3 Lasell at
2:00PM.
The championship will take place on Saturday, April 25th at the
highest seed remaining.
