Player of the Week
Nicole Peacock (Warwick, R.I), Senior, OF, Rivier University
Peacock helped lead Rivier to a 3-3 week. The Warwick, Rhode Island native hit .682 with five doubles, a triple and a home run. Peacock rounded off the week with eight RBI's, eight stolen bases and .708 on base percentage.
Pitcher of the Week
Tayla Gardner (Orangeburg, N.Y.), Senior, Pitcher, Johnson & Wales University
Gardner posted a perfect 2-0 week for the Wildcats, pitching a complete-game two hit shutout with 10 strikeouts in the 11-0 victory against Anna Maria. Followed that up with another complete-game victory in the nightcap over Simmons, helping JWU to the 3-2 win by allowing two runs on five hits with 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Shaylyn Freitas (Pelham, N.H.), Freshman, INF, Rivier University
Freitas hit .476 while leading the Raiders to a 3-3 week. The freshman shortstop scored nine times and had 10 RBI's on the week. Freitas also had a solid week at shortstop.
