2014 GNAC Cross Country Championship Dates Announced

BOSTON, Mass. -  The Great Northeast Athletic Conference  is pleased to announce that the 2014 GNAC Cross Country championships will be held on Saturday, November 1st on the campus of Saint Joseph's College in Standish, Maine. The Monks played host to the championships in 2013 and are excited to welcome back the conference field in fall.

In 2013, both the Emmanuel College men and women's teams took home their respective championships. This marked the first cross country GNAC championship in the history of both programs. It was also the Saints' first conference title in a men's sport in the school's history.

The Saints were powered by the efforts of the GNAC Runner of the Year, Sean Colford, a sophomore, who posted the best time of any participant at the championships.

Saint Joseph's College (ME) finished in second place in both the men's and women's competition. For the women, three runners on the Monks posted the top times at the meet.

Norwich University rounded out the top three for the men, while Simmons finished third on the women's side.

The 2014 ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships will be held the following Saturday, November 8th, at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass. and the 2014 NCAA New England Regionals will be November 15th.
