Saint Joseph's Ryan Prescott (Runner of the Year) ran away from
the rest of the field, setting a new course record and becoming
only the third men’s cross country multiple winner, joining
Michael Monaghan (Norwich) and Dan Dix (Southern Vermont) in this
select group.
On the team side, Johnson & Wales returned to the winners
circle for the first time since winning three consecutive
championships from 1995 to 1997. The Wildcats placed six runners in
the top ten, led by James Vance (2nd) and Rookie of the Year Kyle
Reiss (3rd). Vance also finished second in the 2007 meet. Last
years men’s champion Norwich finished second.
