Lipski Breaks Lasell Record for Career Digs
Joseph Lipski has set a new record for career digs at Lasell
College, marking 805 digs in his four-year stint as a Laser.
During that time, Lipski has gained national recognition as the
team libero, finishing the 2008 season ranked 14th nationally in
digs per set, and currently standing in the 24th spot in the
national standings, averaging 2.59 digs per set this season.
A senior captain from Burlington, Connecticut, Lipski has played in
95 matches and 310 sets over the course of four years at Lasell. As
a first year, Lipski collected 96 digs in the 2006 season, followed
by recording 232 digs as a sophomore. Lipski’s season
best of 288 digs came in 2008, averaging 2.97 digs per set.
This season, Lipski has 189 digs so far, and with three regular
season matchups left, plus any post season tournament action, the
new record will only continue to grow.
