Ramapo, Regis (Mass.) Earn Top Seeds in GNAC Men's Tennis Tournament

WINTHROP, Mass. – Ramapo College and Regis (Mass.) have earned the No. 1 seeds in their respective divisions, as the 2018 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Tennis Tournament gets underway this weekend with semifinal action. Ramapo will host the South Division's No. 2 seed Rutgers University-Newark this Saturday, April 28 at noon, while Regis welcomes Johnson & Wales University (RI), the second seed in the North Division, on Saturday at 2:00 PM.

This weekend's winners will sqaure off in the GNAC Championship, with an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament on the line, the following weekend on Saturday, May 5. The championship host alternates by division annually, and this year the Ramapo/Rutgers-Newark winner will host the GNAC Final in nearly two weeks. 

Ramapo has won each GNAC Championship since 2013, as the Roadrunners will look to capture their sixth straight conference crown. JWU hosted last year's GNAC Final, falling in five sets to Ramapo. Ramapo went on to face Yeshiva in the NCAA Tournament, falling 5-3.

Match 1: #2N JWU at #1N Regis (Mass.) - 2:00 PM
Match 2: #2S Rutgers-Newark at #1S Ramapo - 12:00 PM 

Saturday, May 5 - Championship
Match 3: Hosted by South Division highest remaining seed
