Player of the Week
Christian Hoskey (Saint Charles, Ill.), Senior, 2nd Singles/1st Doubles, Norwich University
Hoskey improved to a perfect 6-0 at No. 2 doubles this season with a hard-fought 7-5, 7-6 victory over Johnson & Wales' Nicholas Auffret. The Saint Charles, Illinois native also won both of his matches against Green Mountain to help lead NU to an 8-1 victory over the Eagles on Wednesday. Hoskey is 30-9 in his career and is just six wins shy of the NU all-time career singles victories record held by Collin Hyte '12.
Rookie of the Week
Andre Barbero (Brielle, N.J.), Freshman, 1st Singles/1st Doubles, Johnson & Wales University
Barbero, playing at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles spot for the Wildcats, went 5-1 to help JWU to a 3-0 week. The Brielle, New Jersey native went 2-0 in the teams 7-2 victory over Norwich on Saturday.
