Player of the Week
Dillion George Sophomore, 1st Singles/ 1st Doubles, Anna Maria College
George continues his winning ways with a perfect week on the court, notching four points for the AMCATS. In singles action, the sophomore enjoyed a pair of straight-set victories at the No. 1 spot without dropping a game. George posted 6-0, 6-0 victories over Lesley University and Newbury and remains unbeaten (5-0) at the top flight. Paired with Calvin Weeks at the No. 1 doubles, Dillon also added a duo of 8-0 wins and improved to 4-1 in doubles action.
Rookie of the Week
Jay Carter (Glassboro, N.J.), Freshman, 5th Singles / 3rd Doubles, Norwich University
Carter helped the Cadets remain perfect in 2014 with victories at No. 5 singles and teaming with Patrick Ogden to take No. 3 doubles against Castleton on Wednesday. Carter beat his singles opponent 6-3, 6-2 and teamed with Ogden to take No. 3 doubles 8-5. Ogden is the only NU player that is perfect in 2014 with a 4-0 singles record and a 4-0 doubles record. Carter hasn't dropped a singles set all season and has lost just 12 games so far.
