STANDISH, Maine – National and regional weekly men's soccer polls have been announced and Saint Joseph's College is ranked 23rd nationally in the latest D3Soccer Poll and eighth in the sixth United Soccer Coaches weekly poll.

The Monks, 13-0-1 overall with an 8-0-1 record in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play, earn national poll recognition for the first time in program history and are ranked eighth in New England for the second-consecutive reporting period after posting wins over Emmanuel College (6-0), Lasell College (5-0), and Maine Maritime Academy (3-0) last week.

Through 14 contests, the Monks have outscored their foes by an impressive 52-0 margin with 1,280 minutes of shutout play between the pipes. Saint Joseph's currently ranks as the NCAA DIII leader in save percentage (1.000), goals against average (0.00), shots on goal per game (12.36), and shutout percentage (1.000).

As of October 17th, Saint Joseph's is the only NCAA program - men's or women's, levels DI, DII, and DIII - to have not yet allowed a goal.  The Monks are also one of just five NCAA DIII men's programs to have not yet suffered a setback.

In a win over Lasell on Saturday, the Monks surpassed the program's single-season goals record. The previous high-water mark, set in 2015, was 48 markers. With four games remaining on the regular-season docket, the 2017 team has also set new campaign records for longest winning streak (9), consecutive shutouts (14), assists (46), and points (150).

Saint Joseph's will host University of Southern Maine Wednesday in a non-conference contest slated to begin at 7:00 PM.
