GNAC Men's Lacrosse Report: Week 7

( FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 8-14 )

PLAYER / ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

James Anderson, Lasell (Fr., A - Medway, Mass.)

Tallied four goals and one assist in Lasell's only game, an 11-9 non-conference win over Gordon. He had three goals and an assist in the fourth quarter as the Lasers overcame a 9-6 deficit to pull out the win. He started the comeback with a goal with 13:37 remaining, then set up the tying goal with 9:33 remaining. Anderson notched the game-winner with 7:52 to play and added an insurance goal in the closing seconds. He also picked up four ground balls in the win.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK

Brandon Milburn, Norwich (Jr., G - Bridgewater, N.J.)

Went the full 60 minutes against Rivier, making nine saves in the 11-6 victory. Logged 22 extra minutes in the second half against Regis, making three saves and allowing no goals. 4.37 GAA with 12 total saves and a 66.7 save percentage. 


WEEK 7 HONOR ROLL
Eric Glover, Anna Maria (Fr., M - Baldwinville, Mass.) - Glover had a pair of five goal contests over the last week, starting with the conference game against Regis where he had five goals and three ground balls. Eric had a total of six points in his last game of the week against Thomas with another five goals and one assists. He finished the week with a total of twelve points, ten goals and two assists.  

Matt Katon, Emmanuel (Mass.) (Sr, A - East Falmouth, Mass.) - Katon paced the Saints with an eight-point week on seven goals and one assist to go with five ground balls. The senior netted a hat trick in Emmanuel's 8-5 victory over Anna Maria and then notched five points against Saint Joseph's (Maine) on four goals and one helper.

Cody Moore, Norwich (Sr., M - Canton, N.Y.) - Led Norwich to a 2-0 week with a team-high seven points. Hat trick against Rivier in an 11-6 victory, followed by a 2g, 2a performance against Regis four days later. 

Colby Larsen, Rivier (Sr, A - Windham, NH) - The Sr. Captain scored 7 goals and handed out 3 assists in 2 GNAC games on the week. He posted a pair of goals on Tuesday vs. Norwich and piled up 8 points day on Senior day in Nashua vs. Albertus Magnus by way of 5 goals and 3 assists.

Dylan McSparren, Rivier (So, A - Warwick, RI) - In two GNAC contests McSparren piled up 10 points on 7 goals and 3 assists. He netted 4 in an 11-6 setback vs. Norwich on Tuesday night and followed up in his Saturday contest with 3 goals and 3 assists in a win over Albertus Magnus.

Shane Puleo, Saint Joseph's (Me.) (Sophomore, A - Nashua, N.H.) - Puleo was credited with five assists and picked up two ground balls in the Monks' thrilling 12-11 double-overtime victory at Emmanuel College on Saturday.
