Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Report - Week 3

Player of the Week
David Deschenes (Gales Ferry, Conn.), Junior, Attack, Becker College
Deschenes helped lead the Hawks to a 3-0 week with wins over Curry, Manhattanville and Johnson State. Deschenes set a school record with 13 points (7 Goal, 6 Assists)against Johnson State on Sunday afternoon. Deschenes finished the week with 15 goals and 11 assists. (NOTE: One game is missing from the stats because of an uploading error I am getting from Presto. In our game against Manhattanville, he scored 5 goals and an assist.)

Goalie of the Week
Clark Plummer (Londonderry, N.H.), Sophomore, Goalie, Rivier University 
Plummer collected 37 saves in 1-1 week for Rivier University Raiders. Plummer holds the highest save percentage in the GNAC (71.2%) while he continues to maintain a stingy single digit goals against average at 7.50. The sophomore made 18 saves in a 12-7 road victory against Regis College Tuesday evening. Plummer also had 19 stops in the Raiders first GNAC Contest vs. Saint Joseph's College, holding the Monk's to only eight goals on Saturday.  

Rookie of the Week
Chad Coehlo (Salem, Mass.), Freshman, Attack, Mount Ida College 
Coehlo notched five goals in two games this week, including a hat trick at New England College and a pair of goals in a GNAC win against Johnson & Wales. Coehlo also caused three turnovers and picked up a pair of ground balls.
