HENNIKER, N.H. – New England College graduate midfielder
Mikayla Vincent (Newburyport, Mass.) of the NEC field hockey team was named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending October 22
nd, 2023, in an announcement by the conference on Wednesday.
Vincent dominated in three NEC wins this past week, totaling six goals and four assists in victories over Fitchburg State, Anna Maria and Elms, including a four goal, two assist gem over conference rival Elms.

Carly Sweeney said of her star midfielder. "She has been flexible with positioning on the field and has adapted to everything we have thrown at her. We are so proud of the work horse she is out of the field and the milestones she has hit this season. #5 has made her presence known."
Vincent's performance against Elms saw her pass the 100-career point mark. She had already been recognized with the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week award for the same period, the first Pilgrim in school history to claim that honor.
At press time, the graduate midfielder was second in the GNAC in assists with 14.
