WINTHROP, Mass. - Anna Maria College junior forward Kylie Dalbec and Simmons College senior defender Avery Hines and have been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Field Hockey Second Team, as announced by the ECAC office on Thursday.

Dalbec, who becomes the first player in AMCAT history to earn ECAC New England postseason honors, adds the award to an already decorated postseason—she was named to the Longstreth/NFHCA All-New England First Team in mid-November and was crowned the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Offensive Player of the Year at the conclusion of the season.

The leading scorer in the GNAC's inaugural season, Dalbec tallied 21 goals as a junior and also led the league in total points with 48. She tallied a league-leading nine game-winning goals in 2014, including three in conference play and the game-winner in Anna Maria's upset win against St. Joseph's in the GNAC Semifinals. Dalbec also ranks among one of the best scorers in the country, as she holds the 29th slot in goals per game in all of Division III in 2014.

Hines has been highly decorated following, arguably, the greatest field hockey season in school history. The back was named to the Longstreth National Field Hockey Coaches Association New England East Region First Team as well as the GNAC First Team last month. She was part of a defense that was a major reason for the Sharks' success and first-ever conference championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.

The defender became just one of two players in school history to earn All-Region First Team honors when tabbed by the NFHCA after contributing to a defensive front that posted a 1.18 goals against average to rank second in the conference and 20th in the nation. She was a key to the team's ability to not only prevent goals, but also shots, limiting opponents to just 9.8 shots per contest.

A two-year captain, she became an All-Conference selection for the second straight year after being named to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Second Team a year ago. Hines finished her career by starting 58 times during her 63-game tenure, while making eight defensive saves. The senior was also named to this year's GNAC All-Tournament Team.
