STANDISH, Maine - The 2015-16 Capital One Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), have been released and Saint Joseph's College senior outfielder Taylor Reuillard (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford) and catcher Nic Lops (South Portland, Maine/Cheverus), a graduate student, have earned NCAA DIII District 1 All-Academic honors.

Both players are now eligible for even higher academic honors as All-District recipients advance to the Capital One Academic Team ballot, where first, second and third team members will be selected later this month.

Reuillard and Lops are the only players hailing from either a GNAC institution or a Maine college or university to collect 2015-16 Capital One Academic All-District® acclaim.

Reuillard, who also claimed Capital One Academic All-District® honors last spring, is the first Saint Joseph's baseball player to earn multiple Academic All-District accolades and heads into the GNAC Tournament hitting .356 (37-104) with 35 runs, five doubles, two triples, three home runs, six stolen bases, and 24 RBI over 30 games. A two-time All-Conference honoree and 2015 First Team All-GNAC selection, the Exercise Science Major is in line to claim his third GNAC All-Academic honor this summer.

Over his career, Reuillard has hit .349 (165-473) with 96 runs, 31 doubles, eight triples, five home runs, 25 stolen bases, and 82 RBI over 142 games.

Lops, an English/Secondary Education major, has claimed his first Capital One Academic All-District® honor and is currently hitting .358 (44-123) with 21 runs, nine doubles, two home runs, and 33 RBI through 35 games. A three-time All-Conference honoree, Lops has been listed on the GNAC All-Academic Team in each of the last three seasons.

In 148 career contests, Lops owns a .351 (181-515) batting average with 80 runs, 35 doubles, three triples, three homers, and 123 RBI.

Four SJC baseball players have earned Capital One Academic All-District® acclaim as Reuillard and Lops join Alex Valenti '15 and Chris Campbell '11 on the short list of Monks to claim the high academic honor.

Capital One has been the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs since 2011.

The Academic All-District™ teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. This is the fifth year of the expanded Academic All-America® program as CoSIDA moved from recognizing a University Division (Division I) and a College Division (all non-Division I) and has doubled the number of scholar-athletes honored. The expanded teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants while the College Division Academic All-America® Team combines NAIA, Canadian, and two-year schools.

The Division II and III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2015-16 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams program.
