#D3WEEK: Social Media Event Held at Albertus Magnus

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College Department of Athletics welcomed Robert Hackenson, Jr. on Monday, April 6 to speak the college community about social media dangers and internet safety in today’s world. 

Hackenson spoke to the crowd about the addiction and anxiety of social media, communication skills, and cyber bullying, to name a few topics.

Hackenson’s presentation was mandatory for student-athletes at Albertus Magnus but was open to the entire student body of the College.

Since 2004, Hackenson has been traveling across the United States and Canada speaking and keynoting for schools and college, organizations, and companies.  Over the years, Hackenson has partnered with several organizations, creating and delivering presentations on a number of topics to a variety of audiences.  He has delivered presentations on: “Bullying Prevention,” “Social Media Dangers & Cyber Safety,” and “Drug, Alcohol, & Tobacco Awareness (Sober Thoughts).

His unique presentational skills have been featured in the Boston Herald, on Fox News, PBS and Rogers TV in Canada.

The social media education session kicked off NCAA Division III Week on the campus of Albertus Magnus.
