
GNAC Rookies of the Week: October 27

Men's Golf - Kyle Harper, Rhode Island College,
Rehoboth, Mass.
Shooting a total of 163 in the two day tournament, Kyle Harper
finished as the top rookie at the 2009 GNAC Championship this past
weekend. The freshman led the Anchorman to a second place finish
behind JWU.
Men's Soccer - Kyle Buscagila, Norwich University, Akron,
NY
Buscagila played well all week for the Norwich Men's Soccer team.
He tallied an assist in their 3-2 victory over Lasell on Wednesday
and added a goal in the Cadets' 4-1 win over Rivier on Sunday.
Women's Soccer - Samantha Gigliotti, Albertus Magnus, Wilton,
Conn.
First year Junior, Samantha Gigliotti, scored a stunning 4 goals
for the Lady Falcons in a 1-1-1 week.
Women's Tennis - Jenna Reid, Emmanuel College, Lincoln,
RI
The Rookie's win in fourth singles was the deciding factor in the
GNAC quarter final game. The match point was the 5th and closing
point in the Saints' 5-4 upset win over JWU. Reid defeated her
opponent, 6-4, 0-6, 6-2, to pick up the crucial victory for the
Saints.
Women's Volleyball - Christina Gallart, Mount Ida College,
Germantown, MD
Gallart led the Mustangs, as middle blocker, to a record 4-0 week
including three GNAC victories. She had 40 kills, nine digs, and
six blocks. Gallart has been a driving force in leading the
Mustangs to achieve a 12-2 record in the past 14 games.
