Emmanuel Adds Men’s Lacrosse

Emmanuel College is pleased to announce the addition of men's lacrosse, which will be played at the club level in 2010-2011 and then as a varsity sport in 2011-2012. This exciting addition to the Saints roster comes on the heels of new programs for women's lacrosse and men's golf in 2009-2010.

Men's lacrosse will bring the total number of varsity programs at the College to 17 -- nine women's and eight men's. The men's lacrosse team will complete in the GNAC in 2011-2012 and will call the newly renovated Roberto Clemente Field home.

"The addition of men's and women's lacrosse allows Emmanuel to take full advantage of our new home field and offer a program in a sport that is one of the fastest growing in the country," said Pam Roecker, Director of Athletics and Recreation. "Men's and women's lacrosse are a great fit for our college and for the GNAC, given that several other conference schools have added these sports recently."
