BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mens Basketball
Jeremy Shannon (Junior) - Emerson - Lowell, MA
He had 19 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and scored seven of our last nine points vs Mount Ida. In our 2-0 week he averaged 22 points, seven assists and nine rebounds. Hit last second shot vs Wheaton to send game into overtime, and hit game winner vs Mount Ida.
Women's Basketball
Jess Mellen (Junior) - Rivier - Rockland, MA
In an unprecedented 5-game week (in 7 days), Mellen averaged a double-double of 16.6 points and 11 rebounds per game, and also averaged 3.8 assists and 4.4 steals. She was named to the Bard College All Tournament team.

Men's Basketball
Raymond Askew (Freshmen) - Albertus Magnus - New Haven, CT
Askew's 17 points were instrumental in the Falcon's overtime upset of regionally ranked Trinty (CT).
Women's Basketball
Nathalie Mastarreno (Sophomore) - Saint Joseph (CT) - Glastonbury, CT
Mastarreno registered a triple-double on Saturday afternoon in a
win over Mitchell College. The
sophomore guard dropped 12 points and added ten rebounds and ten
assists and a steal. Mastarreno averaged 14.0 ppg to go along with
5.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Swimmer of the Week
Lindsay D'Ascanio (Sophomore) - Saint Joseph's (ME) - Kennebunk, ME
In a 184-50 win over Regis College, D'Ascanio won both or her individual events and set a new progam record in the 100 IM with a time of 1:09.29. She also swam a leg for the winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams.
Rookie of the Week
Hannah Gajewski (Freshmen) - Saint Joseph's (ME) - Biddeford,
ME
In a 184-50 win over Regis College, Gajewski won both of her
individual events and broke the team record for the 500 free event
with a time of 6:06.70. She also was a member of the winning 200
medley and 200 free relay teams for Saint Joseph's.
