NEW LONDON, N.H. – October 13, 2018 – The Colby-Sawyer field hockey team defeated increased its win streak to a program record five straight with Saturday's 4-0 victory over Becker.
Prior to the game, Colby-Sawyer honored seniors
Colleen Burke (Orange, Mass.),
Sierra Schuster (Hopkinton, N.H.) and
Jordan Teixeira (Exeter, N.H.).
Colby-Sawyer improves to 11-4 to tie a program record in wins with the 2016 squad that went 11-6. The Chargers will resumed Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Wednesday at Anna Maria. Becker drops to 3-8 and will host Dean on Tuesday.
The Chargers scored two goals in each half en route to the 4-0 victory.
Junior
Alie Jones (Cape Neddick, Maine) and
Rachel Fisher (Lynn, Mass.) each scored in the first frame.
Fisher added a second goal in the second half, along with
Colleen Burke to account for the scoring.

Abby Ladd (Colchester, Vt.) had to make one stop. Becker goalie Victoria Pilpel (Germantown, Md.) had six saves.
The Chargers outshot Becker 15-2 and had a 7-2 advantage in penalty corners.
