AUBURNDALE, Fla. - March 15, 2019 - Colby-Sawyer fell to Juniata, 13-0, in the final game of the team's spring trip to the 2019 RussMatt Central Florida Baseball Invitational.
Juniata improved to 4-3, while the Chargers fell to 1-8. Colby-Sawyer will have a week off before returning to action on March 23 at Lasell for the team's first conference doubleheader.
The Eagles scored three runs in the third, four in the fourth and six in the fifth. Adam Kipp had a three-run homer, while Issac Maclay, Matt Innella and Jake Swank had two RBIs apiece.
Juniata's Gavin Grimaldi threw six innings of shutout baseball to earn his first win of the season. He struck out eight.
AJ Cavossa took the loss in four innings. He struck out five.
Kaelen Close had a good inning of relief work with one hit and a pair of strikeouts.
