QUINCY, Mass. - September 19, 2018 - After dropping the first set 25-18, the Colby-Sawyer women's volleyball team rallied and won the next three by scores of 25-17, 25-15 and 25-23 to defeat Eastern Nazarene, 3-1.Â
Colby-Sawyer evens its record to 6-6, while the Lions drop to 6-3. The Chargers return to Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at home on Saturday with a tri-match against Lasell and Rivier beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern Nazarene has wins over GNAC opponents this season including Regis (3-0), Suffolk (3-0) and Emmanuel (3-1).Â
Maddie Bromley recorded her third double-double of the season to lead the Chargers. She registered a match and season high 17 kills on .357 hitting to go along with 11 digs.
Naarah Cox contributed four blocks and six kills.
Rebecca Straubel had an impressive eight aces.
Anna Allen finished with 35 assists and five digs.Â
Eastern Nazarene received 10 kills and 13 digs from Courtney McCarthy. Ruth Aguilar added 24 assists, seven kills and seven digs. Jenna Meacham tallied eight kills on .368 hitting.Â
