Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Report - Week 7

Offensive Player of the Week
Kat Rice (Delmar, N.Y.), Sophomore, Middle Blocker, Emerson College
The sophomore middle stepped up again for the Lions on the week as she floored 27 kills for a 3.38 kills per set average and a .523 attack percentage. Rice also did damage on defense for the Lions as she posted nine blocks on the week with five solo blocks and four assists for a 1.12 average to keep Emerson undefeated in conference play on the year. 

Defensive Player of the Week
Nikki Deluga (Cotuit, Mass.), Freshman, Libero, Rivier University
Deluga had a great week for the Raiders on the defensive end of the floor scooping up 53 digs over four wins. Deluga's 4.08 digs/set average in the four matches nearly doubled her season average of 2.25 digs/set. The 5'5 defensive specialist capped off her week with 20 digs and 4 ace serves in a 3-1 win over Mt Ida College. 

Rookie of the Week
Felicia Wachowiak (Milton, N.H.), Freshman, Middle Blocker, Saint Joseph’s College (ME)
Wachowiak tallied 39 kills and 18 total blocks with a .316 hitting percentage in a 3-1 week for Saint Joseph's. The freshman middle blocker registered 10 kills and five total blocks in a key conference win over Emmanuel College on Wednesday and notched 23 kills and nine total blocks in a non-conference tri-match split at Rhode Island College on Saturday.
