PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Johnson & Wales University Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has once again reached out the Providence community to give back. 

In December, the group coordinated a coat and mitten drive with donations going to Crossroads RI.

This spring, the student athletes purchased essentials for Welcome Home kits.  With many new homeowners having lost everything they owned before getting to Crossroads, these kits included the things necessary to make a house a home, such as cleaning supplies, silverware and paper goods. 

The transition to a home can be a difficult one and the SAAC was happy to give back to making it a little easier to handle.
